I’d been looking for an option to streamline and lighten the front of my Tokyo Marui SCAR H.
I was originally considering the Airsoft Artisan MLOK rail replacement kit but eventually settled on the PTS Kinetic MREX 2.2 as a locally available drop in solution.

This all in one rail system replaces the heavy lower rail/handguard and the polymer side rails, it also means you can remove the blocks around the barrel that the rails bolt into.
The PTS MREX comes in either Black or Dark Earth and a variety of lengths.
This being the shortest adding 2.2 inches to the handguard and adding MLOK compatibility to the SCAR Platform.
Removing the old parts was a simple job needing only a few minutes and a couple of Alan keys.
I unscrewed the flashider, then the gas block just needed a pin pressing out to slide of off the outer barrel.
The blocks that the rails screwed into slid straight out the front and the new mounting block slid in.
There are a variety of screws included as this unit is designed to fit both VFC and TM SCAR H/L but bolting it on was simple enough.
The new handguard is very slim and light, it adds a lot of options up front, it’s beautifully designed and built, definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you are looking to modernise a TM SCAR.
